L.A Grinding Company has a state of the art welding center capable of making custom welded-to-length bandsaw blades for most applications. Bandsaws can be custom ordered and made while you wait (between the hours of 8 AM – 3PM).
We Feature:
Flex-Back and Neo-Type are made from high carbon steel. These Carbon steel blades are economically priced and they provide exceptional value for general purpose wood, aluminum and mild steel cutting applications.
Die Master 2 and Classic are made with cobalt high speed steel tooth edge combined with a durable, spring steel backing material. This blade cuts faster and lasts longer than basic carbon steel blades. These blades work exceptionally well on hard woods and metals, from mild through stainless steel.
Tri Master Blades are made with precision triple chip ground teeth. This blade will outlast all others when cutting abrasive materials such as tropical woods, aluminum and even brass.

Brush Chipper Knives
L.A. Grinding offers a wide array of knives to fit your Brush Chipper machine. We also offer premier sharpening services on all Brush Chipper Knives. L.A. Grinding is connected with suppliers such as Altec, Bandit, Vermeer, Chipmore and many others to provide you with a large selection of knives that meet your needs. Although brushchippers or treechippers vary greatly in size, type, and capacity, the brush chipper blades processing the wood are similar in construction. The brush chipper knives are rectangular in shape and are usually 4 inches (10 cm) to 1.5 inches (3.8 cm) across by 6 inches (15 cm) to 12 inches (30 cm) long. The brush or tree chipper knives vary in thickness from about 1.5 inches (3.8 cm) to 2 inches (5.1 cm). Chipper blades are made from high grade steel and usually contain a minimum of 8% chromium for hardness.

Each model of our industrial saw blades has been developed with its own grade of materials (carbide and saw plate), its own cutting geometry (grind, hook angle, kerf) and its own operational enhancements (copper noise reducing plugs, cooling slots). XL4000 Extended Life
L.A. Grinding is a distributor of FS Tool Corporation and offers over 200 precision saw blades for high volume manufacturing. FS Tool’s XL4000 Extended Life blades set the industry standard for performance.
In the past, abrasion was thought to be the major cause of woodworking cutting tool wear. While abrasion is always a factor in the wear of any tool, it is not as significant to the wear of carbide saw teeth as commonly believed. A major breakthrough has proven that corrosion, not abrasion, is the major factor in the wear of carbide teeth.
“Carbide” in a saw tooth is made up of microscopic tungsten carbide particles which are bound together with a binder. When corrosive elements in wood break up the binder, the carbide particles break away, pitting the cutting edge and thus making the tooth dull.
The XL4000 series’ precision-ground, corrosion resistant tips cut up to five times longer than conventional saw blades. The Extended Life series’ custom-tensioned saw bodies significantly increase run times, reducing downtime and associated costs such as resharpening, extra backup tooling, retipping and tool replacement.
The XL4000 Extended Life saw blades have been specifically engineered for cutting solid surface materials such as solid woods, plastics, non-ferrous, laminates and other solid surface materials.

L.A. Grinding offers our consumers saw blades for every application. FS Tool Corporation’s premium quality industrial blades are the result of years of experience and know-how. A combination of high-quality materials, superior testing and high-volume manufacturing together deliver an excellent value, quality saw blade.
There are numerous grades of carbide available to industrial saw blade designers. The majority of FS Tool’s Industrial Series saw blades use C-4 Micron Carbide. C-4 Micron Carbide is specially designed to resist chemical corrosion, a major wear factor when cutting wood products made with adhesives, such as particle board and MDF.
Professional Line
L.A. Grinding carries a large inventory of FS Tool Corporation’s LH series Pro-Line saw blades, which are manufactured with the same state of the art machinery and attention to detail as our other lines of saw blades. The professional line of saw blades is designed for portable machines as well as stationary table saws.
