Standard Inlay Paper Knives (INL)
INL is a bi-metallic composition consisting of one part high alloy tool steel and one part standard grade steel. A special fusion process bonds these two grades of steel together to produce a high quality knife at an economical price.
High Carbon, High Chrome Paper Knives (HC, HC)
HC or HC is a solid D2 tool steel. A precise, through hardended knife that possesses extremely high wear resistant properties. This knife is used solely in bed knives for three-knife trimmers.
High Speed Steel Paper Knives (HSS)
HSS is a bi-metallic composition consisting of one part 18% tungsten, high speed steel and one part standard grade steel. A special fusion process bonds these two grades of steel.
Carbide “Supreme” Paper Knives
For the ultimate long life, abrasive resistance and superior sharpness, a new generation of fine grain and super-fine grain carbide tipped knives are available from LA Grinding Company. These knives, when serviced by LA Grinding Company and used in correct applications, will out perform standard steel knives up to 30 times.
